1) Anne of Green Gables: Stories for Young Readers written by L. M. Montgomery, adapted by Diedre Kessler, illustrated by Briana Corr Scott

Plot Summary: This beautifully illustrated collection adapted from the timeless classic written by L. M. Montgomery offers children a bite-sized peek into the expansive and heart-warming world of Green Gables. Follow Anne as she settles into life with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, meets her kindred spirit Diana Barry, her arch nemesis Gilbert Blythe, and personifies the beauty in the nature around her.

Appeal: While this title is aimed at ages 7-10, it is an approachable and exciting way to pique the interest of children of all ages into the wonder of Anne of Green Gables.

Limitations and Weaknesses: While I aim to be neutral in my assessment of reading materials for children, I am undoubtedly bias in my approach to anything related to Anne of Green Gables and couldn't bring myself to classify any weaknesses for this title. Anne Shirley forever!
