Summary: Originally released on CD in the 1990s, this series dedicates each recording to a particular composer and offers an interesting and child-friendly story which weaves with the nature of the compositions and is both captivating and educational. Works such as "Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery" and "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" introduce children to the historical context of these important figures in music, and keeps them interested through the spectacular voice acting and beautifully written prose.
Appeal: As a child I listened to these CDs every night as I was falling asleep and have found that the information shared has stuck with me well into my adult life. The series is now readily available on Youtube Music. Children and adults alike benefit from the exposure to this timeless music.
Limitations and Weaknesses: Although this is a historically educational series, the stories accompanying the music are limited in their diversity and representation.
